Homebuyers will pay more for green homes, that’s the conclusion of a recent survey showing three in five buyers would pay extra for ‘green’ property, according to ‘Your Mortgage’ newsletter.
With all the doom and gloom about interest rates and economic conditions, it’s encouraging to see that people are turning their mortgage payments into something positive – whether it’s the conscious decision to buy a more environmentally sound home, or their initiative to get off the sidelines and use their mortgage to help charities and sporting groups through our Good Deeds mortgages, it’s all a move in the right direction.
Not only are consumers making good choices, knowing their small difference collectively adds up to a big impact for charities, sporting groups, or the environment, but they are winning by having more energy-efficient homes to save them money long-term and interest-rate savings with our option.
